The online booking for Kedarnath helicopter service is starting today, April 8. This year, the booking will be done only through the official website of IRCTC: heliyatra.irctc.co.in, and the booking portal will be open from 12 noon.

Full Preparation for Helicopter Service

According to Sonika, CEO of UCADA (Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority), all preparations for the helicopter operations and booking have been completed. The helicopter service will run from three helipads:

  • Guptkashi
  • Phata
  • Sersi

To manage the crowd, tickets will be released in phases.

Booking Available for May

For now, the booking is open for travel between May 2 to May 31. Dates after May will be announced later. Pilgrims must book their tickets only through the official website. No tickets will be sold through agents or other platforms.

⚠️ Pilgrims are advised not to buy tickets from any agent or fake websites.

One-Way Fare Details:

  • Guptkashi to Kedarnath – ₹8,532 per person
  • Phata to Kedarnath – ₹6,062 per person
  • Sersi to Kedarnath – ₹6,060 per person

All travelers must carry valid ID proof and their booking confirmation slip while boarding the helicopter.

Improved System for Smooth Booking

To ensure transparency and avoid technical problems, the IT system has been made stronger this year. Passengers can choose the date, helipad, and time slot during booking, based on availability.

With the increasing number of pilgrims visiting Kedarnath, this new booking system is expected to reduce rush and improve convenience.

Important Advice for Pilgrims:

  • Complete your online booking early
  • Don’t forget to register before the journey
  • Carry all important documents
  • Avoid last-minute bookings to prevent trouble
