In a shocking case from Jewar, Noida, an FIR has been registered against 12 policemen, including the then Station House Officer (SHO) Anjani Kumar, for a fake encounter incident that took place nearly three years ago.
What Happened?
According to Tarun Gautam, a resident of Kadamb Vihar, the incident took place on the night of 4th September 2022 at around 9:45 PM. He claims:
- Two vehicles without number plates arrived at his house.
- Around 10 to 12 men in plain clothes, claiming to be policemen, forcefully entered his house.
- They damaged property, took away โน22,000 in cash, and started asking about his son Somesh Gautam, a B.Tech student.
Even after Tarun informed them that his son was in Delhi for coaching, they searched the entire house.
What Did the Police Do?
Tarun alleges that:
- The police forcibly took him in a vehicle to an unknown place and beat him up.
- The next morning, they took him to his son Somesh in Delhi.
- After that, Somesh was brought to Jewar Police Station and was pressured to confess to a false crime.
- He was then allegedly injured in a fake encounter staged by the police.
Court-Ordered FIR
- Despite multiple complaints, no FIR was registered for a long time.
- Finally, in February 2025, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) ordered an FIR.
- Following this order, Jewar police registered the case last night.

- Constables: Rohit Kumar, Bhuri Singh, Jayprakash, Manoj Kumar, Chittar Singh
