RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) Chief Mohan Bhagwat is on a 5-day visit to Varanasi starting from 3rd April. On Sunday, 6th April, he attended the Pratap Shakha held at Lajpat Nagar Park. After addressing the swayamsevaks (volunteers), he invited questions from the audience.
A Question About Muslims in RSS
An elderly swayamsevak named Vijay Verma asked a direct question:
“Can Muslims join the RSS shakha?”
Mohan Bhagwat replied:
“People of all castes and communities can join the shakha. Only descendants of Aurangzeb are not welcome.”
This response caught everyone’s attention.
RSS Welcomes All Who Think for the Nation
Regular swayamsevaks present at the shakha welcomed Bhagwat’s message. They said that RSS stands for national unity and strength, and anyone who believes in national interest is welcome to join.
Mohan Bhagwat emphasized that everyone should work together with the vision of a united and strong nation.
Idea of Akhand Bharat
According to swayamsevaks present, Mohan Bhagwat also said that the countries separated from Akhand Bharat (Undivided India) are facing many problems today. He suggested that a united nation brings peace and strength.
