Rajnath Singh at SCO Meeting:
During the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) meeting, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun in Qingdao, China. In this meeting, Rajnath Singh clearly told China that both countries must avoid new tensions and maintain peace at the border.
📍 Kailash Mansarovar Yatra to Resume
During the meeting, both ministers also discussed the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, which has been stopped for the last 6 years. Rajnath Singh announced that this spiritual journey will now start again.
- In 2020, the yatra was stopped due to COVID-19.
- After that, due to border tensions in Galwan Valley, the journey could not resume.
- Now, with this meeting, positive talks have taken place.

Rajnath Singh gave a special gift to the Chinese minister – a beautiful Madhubani painting from Bihar.
- This traditional art is also called Mithila painting.
- It is famous for fine lines, bright colors, tribal figures, and unique patterns.
❌ India Refused to Sign SCO Document
Rajnath Singh refused to sign the official SCO declaration.
- The reason: the document did not highlight the issue of terrorism strongly.
- India felt it could weaken its strict stand on terrorism.
- So, Rajnath Singh did not agree to it.

Without naming Pakistan, Rajnath Singh gave a strong warning during his speech:
“Countries that support or use terrorism for their selfish goals will have to face the consequences.”
He said:
- Some countries use cross-border terrorism as a tool.

- He added that double standards should not be accepted anymore.
- SCO must not hesitate to criticize such countries.
