During the recent session of the Rajasthan Assembly, Congress MLA Indira Meena from Bamanwas tried to target Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s son over alleged corruption. However, when BJP MLAs strongly protested her remarks, she lost her temper and used abusive language. This incident has sparked criticism against her.

Allegations on CM’s Son

Indira Meena raised questions about the involvement of several firms linked to the Chief Minister’s son in the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ project. As soon as she mentioned Bhajanlal Sharma’s name, BJP MLAs created a ruckus, interrupting her speech. Frustrated by the constant interruptions, Meena used an inappropriate word during the assembly.

BJP Demands Evidence

Following the allegations, BJP leader and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel demanded evidence from Indira Meena. He criticized her for making baseless accusations without proof. BJP members claimed that such statements were a tactic to divert attention from the Congress’s failure to address real issues.

Congress Stands Firm

In response, Congress leaders supported Indira Meena. MLA Rajendra Pareek defended her, stating that BJP’s attempts to silence opposition voices would not be tolerated. “We will not remain silent,” he declared, accusing the ruling party of suppressing democratic discussions in the assembly.
