Harshit Rana Was Having Dinner
After India won the match by 15 runs, Morne Morkel shared details during the post-match presentation:
“When Shivam Dube returned to the dressing room, he complained of mild pain in his head. We immediately discussed a replacement option with the match referee. The final decision was in his hands. When it was approved, Harshit Rana was having dinner. We had to get him ready quickly to go out and bowl.”
How Did Shivam Dube Get Injured?
Shivam Dube came to bat after India lost their fourth wicket at 57 runs in the 8th over. He played a responsible knock, scoring 53 runs off 34 balls, including 7 fours and 2 sixes.
During his innings, a delivery from Jamie Overton struck Dube’s helmet. Though he continued playing initially, he later experienced head pain, leading to Harshit Rana being brought in as a replacement.
