In a daring incident, masked robbers in a Tata Sumo tried to loot a power station in Jammu’s Meera Sahib area. The incident happened late Thursday night, around 2 a.m., when seven masked men arrived at the Talli Morh power station in a Tata Sumo. However, their plan was foiled when the station’s security guard called the police on time.

Robbers Fired at Police

As soon as the police arrived, the robbers fired at them and also threw stones. In response, the police fired back. Under pressure, the robbers abandoned the Tata Sumo and fled the scene.

Fortunately, no harm was caused to people or property during the incident. The police have seized the Tata Sumo left behind by the robbers.

Police Searching for the Accused

The police have started a search operation to find the robbers. They are investigating the seized vehicle’s number plate and checking CCTV footage to identify the culprits.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the vehicle has been used in previous robbery cases. The police assured the public that the robbers would be caught soon. To prevent such incidents, night patrolling has been increased in the area.

This timely action by the police prevented a major crime and ensured public safety.
