Amazon India has appointed Samir Kumar as its new Country Manager. He will take over the role on October 1, 2024. Samir Kumar will manage Amazon’s operations in India and continue overseeing previously assigned areas.
Who Was in the Role Before?
Before Samir Kumar, the role was held by Manish Tiwari. Tiwari resigned after more than eight years of leading Amazon India and achieving significant successes. His contribution was crucial to Amazon India’s recent achievements.

About Samir Kumar
Samir Kumar joined Amazon in 1999 and played a key role in launching Amazon India in 2013. His efforts were instrumental in making India one of Amazon’s most important markets worldwide.
Other Responsibilities
Currently, Samir Kumar also oversees Amazon’s consumer operations in Western Asia, South Africa, and Turkey. Starting October 1, he will add the role of Country Manager for India to his responsibilities.
