AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi may contest the Bihar Assembly Elections with the India Bloc (Mahagathbandhan). Speaking to ANI, he said,

โ€œWe donโ€™t want the BJP-NDA to win in Bihar. But it depends on the alliance leaders. They have the right to decide.โ€

Owaisi Sends Message to Opposition Parties

Owaisi said some political parties are staying silent at a crucial time.

โ€œThey must wake up before itโ€™s too late. Itโ€™s no use crying after everything is over. You are not politically dead yet. If you want to survive, act now.โ€

He confirmed that AIMIM has already declared candidates in two assembly seats and is planning to contest in areas outside Seemanchal as well.

Trying to Stop BJP-NDA

When asked about joining the Mahagathbandhan, Owaisi said:

โ€œOur Bihar state president Akhatarul Iman is trying to stop BJP-NDA from coming to power. People may not know, but five years ago, I also tried to speak with two MPs in Parliament. Even now, we donโ€™t want BJP to win. But again, the final decision is up to them.โ€

Owaisi Wrote to Election Commission on Voter List

Owaisi also raised questions about the rechecking of Biharโ€™s voter list. He wrote a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner, calling it a legally questionable move. He said this may lead to real voters being removed from the list.

He accused the Election Commission of secretly implementing NRC in Bihar.

Owaisi Questions New Rules for Voter Registration

On X (formerly Twitter), Owaisi said:

โ€œTo register in the voter list, people now have to show documents proving where and when they were born, and also their parentsโ€™ birth details. But in India, only about 75% of births are officially registered, and most government records have errors. This is unfair.โ€
