However, shortly after the start of the trading day, both key benchmark indices turned negative. The 30-share BSE Sensex index had opened higher by 136.17 points or 0.16% at 83,671.52 points, and the NSE Nifty 50 opened up by 42.65 points or 0.17% at 25,617.00 points.
As of 9:22 AM, the Sensex was trading lower by 129 points at 83,405, while the Nifty 50 had slipped 44 points to trade at 25,529.

On Monday, November 10, the Indian stock market witnessed a strong surge, with both major benchmark indices closing in the green:
