In Madhya Pradesh, BJP MLAs who were making statements against their own government and indirectly supporting the opposition were called to Bhopal. After meeting with CM Mohan Yadav and state president VD Sharma in Bhopal, the MLAs said that their grievances had been resolved and they would follow the party’s instructions. Recently, Brijbihari Pateriya, an MLA from Deori in Sagar, had resigned from his post but later withdrew his resignation.

The incident behind his resignation involved a man who died from a snakebite in the village of Medki in the Kesli police station area. A doctor allegedly demanded ₹40,000 to write in the report that the death was due to a snakebite. Despite evidence, the police were not registering an FIR against the doctor, which led to the MLA sending his resignation to the Assembly Speaker around 9:30 p.m. in frustration. However, he soon withdrew it.

MLA Pradeep Patel’s Dramatic Protest
Another incident involved Mauganj MLA Pradeep Patel, who protested by bowing down in front of police officers at the Rewa IG and SP offices. He claimed, “Have me killed by goons,” accusing the police of protecting the liquor mafia. This dramatic protest made headlines across the state, and BJP’s senior MLA and former minister Ajay Vishnoi supported Patel.

In another case, Sanjay Pathak, the second richest MLA in Madhya Pradesh, raised concerns about his safety, questioning the state’s law and order. These incidents caused embarrassment for the BJP, while the opposition gained strength. As a result, these MLAs were called to Bhopal.

What Did the MLAs Say?
According to sources, in a closed-door meeting, both MLAs were advised not to make public statements against the government. After this discussion, MLA Brijbihari Pateriya said his anger had subsided and the issues were resolved. Meanwhile, MLA Pradeep Laria stated that there were no problems and they would follow the party’s directions.
