Adani AGM 2025: Key Highlights
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, spoke at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday. During the meeting with shareholders, he praised Operation Sindoor, a strong step taken by India against Pakistan. He said,
“India knows the true value of peace, but if someone threatens us, we know how to respond in their own language.”
He also expressed deep sorrow for the families of those who died in the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad.
“The World Has Changed Drastically”
Adani said the world has dramatically changed in the past 12 months:
- More than 60 countries had elections
- Borders were redefined
- Alliances were tested
- Economies were shaken
He added that:
- The Middle East is facing serious tension, affecting global energy supplies
- In Europe, confidence in the economy is low
- America is facing its own unique challenges
But India is standing strong and growing faster than any other major country in the world.
“A Boat Can’t Cross the Sea If It’s Afraid of Waves”
Adani said this growth is not luck, but a result of strong vision. He praised the central and state governments for laying the foundation for this historic change.
He added,
“This is just the beginning of a new and better chapter. A boat can’t cross the sea if it’s afraid of waves. Those who are brave never lose.”
He also shared that his mother is his guiding star, and said that history remembers fighters, not those who quit.
Facing Challenges with Courage
Gautam Adani told shareholders that the Adani Group also faced many challenges but never backed down. He said real leadership is not built in comfort, but in times of crisis.
He mentioned recent allegations against the group. In the past year, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) started an investigation into Adani Green Energy.
However, he clarified:
- No one in the Adani Group has been accused of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)
- No one has been accused of trying to obstruct justice
Adani said,
“We live in a time where negative voices are often louder than the truth. But we are fully cooperating with all legal processes.”
In summary, Gautam Adani’s speech was about India’s strength, Adani Group’s resilience, and the importance of facing problems with courage and truth.
