Apple is set to launch the iPhone SE 4 this week. The new model will feature a full-screen design and Face ID, replacing the traditional Touch ID. This means Apple will no longer sell any iPhone with a home button, marking a major change after 18 years.

Home Button Introduced in 2007

Apple first introduced the home button in 2007 with the launch of the original iPhone. In 2013, the iPhone 5s introduced Touch ID fingerprint authentication. Later in 2017, the iPhone X was launched with Face ID, starting the gradual phase-out of the home button.

iPhone SE 4 to Feature a New Design

The older iPhone SE models resembled the iPhone 8, with a home button, lightning port, and thick bezels. However, the new iPhone SE 4 will come with a modern design, similar to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 16.

Key expected features include:

  • 6.1-inch OLED Display
  • USB-C Port
  • 48 MP Rear Camera
  • Apple A18 Chip
  • 8GB RAM
  • Appleโ€™s In-house 5G Modem

Expected Price in India

Reports suggest that the iPhone SE 4 could be priced higher than previous models. The iPhone SE 3 was launched in India for โ‚น43,900, while the new model is expected to start at โ‚น49,900. However, Apple has not officially confirmed this yet.
