Shah Rukh Khan Once Promised to Help a Dying Friend; Now His Wife Says – “The Number He Gave Doesn’t Work Anymore”

Music director Aadesh Shrivastava passed away from cancer in 2015. In a new interview with Lehren Retro, his wife, actress Vijeta Pandit, spoke about their son, Avitesh Shrivastava, who is a singer, music director, and actor. She said her son is not getting any support from the film industry. Vijeta also appealed to actor Shah Rukh Khan, who was a close friend of her late husband, to help her son’s career.

Vijeta said, “He (Avitesh) works very hard. He has recorded music with artists like Akon and French Montana. But unfortunately, my son is not getting any support or direction in the film industry. People in the industry know that Aadesh is no more, and they should help my son.”

She added, “You won’t believe it, but when Aadesh was in the hospital, Shah Rukh Khan used to visit him. A day before Aadesh passed away, when he couldn’t even speak, he held Shah Rukh’s hand and pointed to our son, asking him to take care of him. Today, I am unable to contact Shah Rukh. The number my son was given no longer works. I just want to remind Shah Rukh that he was a good friend to Aadesh, and we need him now. I need him for my son because he is our family’s future. I am not earning, I am not doing anything.”

“Aadesh Made You Promise”

She continued, “Shah Rukh Khan can make a movie with my son under his production banner, Red Chillies Entertainment. Avitesh is a very good actor. He is currently doing a film called Sirf Ek Friday, which will be released on OTT. He is working very hard. I want to remind Shah Rukh that now is the time. Please come and help my son. He just needs a little support. Shah Rukh is a kind person. He visited Aadesh twice when he was in the final stage of cancer. Now that he made a promise to Aadesh, I am asking him to help my son. He needs you. He doesn’t have a father. Aadesh made you promise, so you must do something.”

Vijeta also mentioned that Shah Rukh is now a big star, but her brothers, music composers Jatin-Lalit, played a big role in his success. She said they gave him many superhit songs in films like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). Vijeta believes Shah Rukh should do something for their family because they contributed a lot to his career.
